Weekend Radio
- Sunday 11am-12pm
Weekend Radio, that "curiously strange and offbeat potpourri of music, wit and convivial companionship," is a skillful mixture of classical music, cross-over selections and comedy bits presented by program host Robert Conrad -- in his other life known at the even staid and conservative host of the Cleveland Orchestra broadcasts. Conrad takes his cue for particular programs from Chases' Calendar of Events, an encyclopedia of offbeat happenings, which has resulted in programs about Mole Day (a mole equals 6 x 10 to the 23rd power), Computer Learning Month, Weatherman's Day, and National Chicken Month.
Wits
- Saturday 2-3pm
Wits is a live public radio show that brings world-class comedians, actors and musicians to the stage of the Fitzgerald Theater, where host John Moe gives them and the audience the time of their lives. Wits mixes improv, sketch comedy, conversation, music and genuine beauty in a program praised as "one of the rare public radio comedy shows that's actually funny" (Huffington Post) and "a wildly successful radio show" (City Pages, Minneapolis).
World Affairs
- Saturday 11pm-Sunday 12am
The first World Affairs Council broadcast aired in October 1947. Back then, it was called "World Affairs are Your Affairs." Guests on the show included Gen.
