The Louisiana Small Business Development Center is celebrating its 30th consecutive year of funding through the U.S. Small Business Administration and Louisiana Economic Development.The Center offers ongoing business counseling and workshops statewide.

LSBDC State Director Mary Lynn Wilkerson says the center will also spend time in outreach to help the businesses community.

The center now offer workshops tailored to helping small businesses and startup businesses with common business problems such as: determining the feasibility of their business ideas, planning to start or have recently started a small business, looking at a complete financial analysis, increasing sales, seeking a small business loan, or wanting to learn more about business planning.

The center now offers business counseling at the West Monroe Chamber of Commerce every third Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., and at the Monroe Chamber of Commerce every fourth Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Wilkerson recommends any business owner to go to one of these or other local workshops.
