Supreme Court Ruling Affects Local Murder Case | 4-17-13
A West Ouachita teenager who was convicted in 2011 of murdering his parents will be resentenced. Dalton Fletcher was given an automatic life sentence in the case. A 2012 ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court, which became effective this year, bans imposing the automatic life sentence for juveniles convicted of a murder charge.
