When the Arkansas Gazette newspaper wanted to develop a feature section, David Petty stepped up to the challenge.  The young reporter developed stories that led to a huge expansion of the original concept.  The experience led to leadership roles for the news veteran of 53 years.  Petty, who recently retired as president and publisher of the News-Star, shares career memories and how digital platforms are changing the industry.
