The practice of nursing combines science, caring, and compassion. The University of Louisiana at Monroe has been educating nurses in those disciplines since 1960.

The School of Nursing is celebrating last fall’s graduating class that achieved a 100 percent first-time pass rate on the national licensure exam for RN’s.

Dr. Emily Doughty was recently named the director of the ULM School of Nursing, and says she's excited to see the impact that nurses have on health care in our community, and looks forward to continued growth for the program.
