The phrase “meeting of the minds” is often used when talking about collaboration. Partnerships in higher education can reap benefits for everyone involved, from scientists to students. The University of Louisiana at Monroe has just signed an agreement with the LSU AgCenter for joint research projects.

Dr. Benny Blaylock, dean of the college of Pharmacy, says the two institutions complement each other in ways that are just now being discovered, such as an LSU hydrology researcher teaming with ULM's Toxicology department to study fertilizer runoff.
