Parish Adopts Policy Over Extra-Curricular Activities | 5-14-14

The Ouachita Parish School Board adopted a policy prohibiting home or virtual school students from participating in extra-curricular activities.  The measure primarily addresses those students wanting to play on athletic teams in the parish system.  Superintendent Bob Webber says the board took up the issue after a unified call by the district's high school principals to have a policy regarding the item.
