Mayo: New Arena Would Bring Competitive Edge | 5-14-14

In it's past, the Monroe Civic Center Arena would bring notable entertainers to the area.  After nearly 50 years of operation, Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo says the site has steadily lost out on major events that have appeared in neighboring markets.  A feasibility study has located 9 proposed sites for a new arena.  He shares on why the city is considering a plan for a new arena.  He'll also be participating as a panelist in KEDM's "Policy & A Pint" discussion on a new arena next Tuesday night.
