Taking good care of your mouth can help you keep a nice smile, but it can also have impact on your overall health. October is National Dental Hygiene Month, with the slogan “Keep them Healthy, Keep them Clean.”

There is a number of ways to keep you oral hygiene up to par. One is to brush your teeth twice a day for two whole minutes. Another way is to floss daily, because the toothbrush can’t reach plaque in between your teeth. Also you are supposed to use antimicrobial rinse once a day to prevent gingivitis. Finally is to chew sugar free gum. Chewing gum causes you to salivate which is good for your oral health.

The best way to keep your teeth clean is to visit ULM dental hygiene clinic. Here they can clean your teeth, and keep you up to date on your oral health. To make an appointment, or find out more info call (318)-342-1616.

Also ULM dental hygiene program offers presentations throughout the year to schools, or other groups on the importance of dental health. To schedule one call (318)-342-1612, and inquire about the dental hygiene presentations.
