Members of the Monroe City Council desire some oversight of the I-20 Economic Development District Board.  Two board-related ordinances passed in a meeting earlier this month.  One would limit Mayor Jamie Mayo's authority to remove directors from the board.  The other seeks to limit the board's ability to conduct closed meetings.  On Monday, Mayor Jamie Mayo vetoed the items, sending them back to the council for an expected override vote in tonight's city council meeting.
