Fewer Dollars, Tougher Decisions | 7-25-11

Community Development Block Grants are being downsized.  Earlier this year, President Obama called for a 7.5 percent cut to the grant program.  This year's funding for the City of Monroe took a considerable drop from last year.  Various housing projects, programs, and services, could face uncertainty over budget items where CDBG funding is provided.
