Essays Share Student's Perspective Of Civil Rights | 2-27-14

Area students have participated in an Essay Contest during Black History Month sponsored by the Ouachita Parish Public Library.  Three grade divisions were given topics to address in their writing.  A reception for finalists is tonight at the library's main branch at 6 p.m.  We hear one finalist, Mercedes Celestine, a Carroll High School student, share her essay about the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
