Conservation Fund Faces Challenges | 8-4-14

The federal Land & Water Conservation Fund celebrates it's 5oth anniversary this year.  The milestone is met with pride and concern.  The fund has impacted a number of parks, refuges, and recreational sites in northeast Louisiana.  Still, federal budget issues cause lawmakers to seek redirecting some LWCF monies toward other federal programs.  Louisiana Hypoxia Working Group's Doug Daigle shares on the landmark law and the current discussion over maintaining funds.
